Spotlight Discounts & Promo Codes October 2026

Spotlight discounts in Australia come from the free VIP Club, VIP Save prices, the 10% Bargain Guarantee, a $5 Click & Collect voucher and recurring VIP codes. The Spring Savings Sale runs until 1 November 2026.

How Can You Get the Best Spotlight Deals Right Now?

Join the VIP Club before you buy. A KOO 400 Thread Count Cotton Sateen Sheet Set drops from $130 to $49 at the VIP price, and choosing Click & Collect adds a $5 voucher for your next store visit.

How to Apply Spotlight Discount Codes at Checkout

Spotlight codes go into the Promo Code box at checkout on spotlightstores.com, followed by the Redeem button. Codes are alphanumeric and case sensitive, so type them exactly as printed in the email, catalogue or SMS.

VIP Save prices apply automatically once you are signed in as a VIP member, while VIP only codes need you to sign in before redeeming. A maximum of one promo code applies to any order.

Codes fail most often on exclusions. Spotlight's VIP coupon terms exclude electrical appliances, sewing machines, overlockers, paper craft machines, Made to Measure, Everyday Bargains, Hot Buys, clearance, lay bys and gift cards.

VIP vouchers are single use and only work for the member they were sent to. Spotlight rejects screenshots and codes copied from social posts or unauthorised websites, and its coupons page listed no public codes on 18 October 2026.

The Spotlight VIP Club

The Spotlight VIP Club is free to join online, by phone or in store. Members receive a $10 welcome voucher, $10 off on their birthday, 10% off paper patterns and 20% to 30% off party products every day.

VIP members also get 30% to 40% off all Made to Measure curtains, blinds and shutters, early sale alerts and member events. The welcome and birthday vouchers only arrive if you opt into email.

The birthday voucher needs your birthdate saved in your online account, and it becomes available 30 days after registering. Benefits apply only to the named cardholder and cannot be redeemed for cash.

The Spotlight Bargain Guarantee

The Bargain Guarantee beats a competitor's lower price on an identical in stock item by 10%. The competitor must have a physical Australian store within 30km of your Spotlight store, or deliver to you with all costs included.

Claims are made in store before purchase with an advert, quote or invoice. Trade buyers, clearance sales, auction sites and competitor rebate or voucher offers are excluded, and it cannot be used on lay by.

The Spotlight Click & Collect Voucher

Every Click & Collect order earns a $5 in store voucher with no minimum spend, limited to one per customer per day. The voucher includes sale items but excludes gift cards, lay by payments and Made to Measure orders.

Orders are held for 5 days after the collection email arrives, so Click & Collect also avoids the $12.99 metro delivery fee on orders under $120.

What Does Spotlight Sell and Is It Worth the Price?

Spotlight sells fabric, sewing machines, yarn, craft supplies, party goods, costumes, bed linen, towels, curtains, blinds, kitchenware and home decor, with in house services including Made to Measure, cut to size blinds, balloon inflation and long arm quilting machines.

Spotlight Bedding and Curtains

Bedding carries the deepest VIP Save cuts. The Emerald Hill Soft Touch Quilt Cover Set falls to $19 to $35 from $80 to $110, and the KOO Bamboo Cotton Sheet Set falls to $65 to $99 from $160 to $200.

Brampton House Bayley Blockout Eyelet Curtains are $39 to $69 for VIP members, down from $80 to $140, and the Logan & Mason Bamboo Blend Quilt is $49 to $69, down from $110 to $140.

Spotlight Sewing, Yarn and Craft

4 Seasons 8 Ply Marvel 100g Yarn is $2.40 for VIP members, down from $4, and Prima Homespun 112cm Fabric is $8 a metre, down from $12, when checked on 18 October 2026.

The Cricut Maker 5 and Essential Bundle is $628 for VIP members, down from $748. Sewing machines, overlockers and craft machines sit outside most VIP codes, so compare the VIP price instead.

Spotlight Quality Compared to Australian Competitors

Bed Bath N' Table, the Melbourne homewares chain founded in 1960 by sewing machine technician John Dempsey, runs more than 190 stores, ships free over $150 and gives Rewards members 30 day returns.

Adairs, the Australian owned homewares retailer with more than 100 years of history, focuses on bed linen and decor and gives Linen Lovers members early access to its best deals.

The honest drawback is online service. ProductReview rates Spotlight 1.6 from 2,640 reviews, with complaints about Made to Measure delays and online orders, and Online Only or Supplier Direct items cannot be returned for change of mind.

When Are the Biggest Spotlight Sales Throughout the Year?

Spotlight runs catalogue sales most fortnights, VIP code drops such as $40 off $120, VIP Days with 30% off full priced items, 40% off single item coupons, a Black Friday event and Boxing Day and stocktake clearances.

Spotlight Spring Savings Sale

The Spring Savings Sale runs from 14 October to 11.59pm on 1 November 2026. Discounts apply to full priced products only, excluding VIP prices, Hot Buys and Clearance, and cannot be combined with other offers.

Spotlight Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales

No Black Friday terms appeared on spotlightstores.com when checked on 18 October 2026. Watch for a VIP code by SMS, since a $40 off $120 code ran for one day on 17 October.

Spotlight Boxing Day and EOFY Sales

Spotlight has not published Boxing Day or EOFY terms. A storewide 30% off mega sale ran in June 2026, and a 40% off full priced item coupon ran from 3 to 21 June.

Spotlight VIP Code Drops

VIP codes have repeated through 2026, with GET40 in March, GET30 and TAKE40 in May, TAKE30 in September and TAKE40 again in October. Each needed free VIP membership and a minimum spend of $99 or $120.

Spotlight vs the Competition

Spotlight competes with Bed Bath N' Table and Adairs on homewares, and stands alone on fabric and craft range. Its edge is a free VIP Club, a 10% price beat and in store services such as Made to Measure.

Spotlight vs Bed Bath N' Table

Bed Bath N' Table offers 30 day returns for Rewards members and a design studio in Melbourne, while Spotlight gives 28 days for change of mind and adds fabric, sewing and party ranges Bed Bath N' Table does not carry.

For shoppers prioritising coordinated linen collections, Bed Bath N' Table delivers more. For shoppers wanting the lowest bedding prices plus craft supplies in one trip, Spotlight delivers more.

Spotlight vs Adairs

Adairs positions itself as a premium linen and decor brand, while Spotlight leans on VIP Save prices, with quilt cover sets from $19 and sheet sets from $29 for members.

For shoppers prioritising design led bedding, Adairs delivers more. For shoppers prioritising price and a free loyalty program, Spotlight delivers more.

The Bottom Line on Shopping at Spotlight

Spotlight opened its first store in Malvern, Melbourne in September 1973, grew from a Queen Victoria Market fabric stall, and is now part of Spotlight Group Holdings with more than 6,700 team members across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Its strength is price on bedding and craft for VIP members; its trade off is online service. Customer care runs on 1300 305 405, and lay by needs a $100 purchase and 20% deposit over 13 weeks.

Best Spotlight Strategy for First Time Customers

Join the VIP Club online and opt into email for the $10 welcome voucher, then shop VIP Save prices and choose Click & Collect for the $5 voucher.

Check whether an item is marked Online Only or Supplier Direct before ordering, since those cannot be returned for change of mind or taken back to a store.

Best Spotlight Strategy for Repeat Customers

Save your birthdate for the $10 birthday voucher, watch SMS for $30 and $40 VIP codes, and use the Bargain Guarantee in store when a nearby competitor is cheaper.

Book Made to Measure curtains and blinds as a VIP member, since the everyday 30% to 40% discount often beats any storewide sale.
