In an era where browser extensions are notorious for harvesting user data, we built the anti-tracker. We don't know who you are, what you search for, or which pages you browse. And frankly? We don't want to know.

Local-First Processing

Our code runs locally on your device. When you visit a store, the coupon matching happens in your browser, not on our servers. Your shopping history never leaves your machine.

No Account, No Profile

We don't require accounts. You don't need to log in to save money, and there is no login to have. What the extension remembers — which stores you have seen, what you have saved — stays on your own device and never reaches us.

Clean Revenue Model

We make money when you successfully use a coupon (via affiliate commissions from retailers). We do not generate revenue by selling user profiles to ad networks.

What We Collect

Minimum Viable Data (MVD) required for the tool to function.

  • The store you open the panel on
    Only when you click to see codes, and only the store — never the page or product you were looking at.
  • Coupon Success Rates
    A single yes or no, and only when you choose to answer. Nothing is recorded if you don’t vote.
  • Your IP Address and Browser Type, Attached to a Vote
    Recorded with your vote, along with the browser details your browser sends with any request, so one person can’t vote fifty times and fake a success rate. Stored only when you vote.

The "No-Go" Zone

Data we technically could collect, but code our extension to ignore.

  • Personally Identifiable Info (PII)
    Names, Emails, Addresses, Phone Numbers.
  • Payment Details
    Credit card numbers, CVVs, or PayPal logins. We never touch payment fields.
  • Search History
    What you search on Google/Bing is your business. We don't track it.

Transparency FAQ

How do you make money if you don't sell data?
We operate on an affiliate commission model. When you use a coupon code we provide to make a purchase, the retailer (e.g., Nike or Adidas) pays us a small commission for referring the sale. This cost is never passed on to you. It aligns our incentives with yours: we only make money if you successfully save money.
Can you see my credit card number?
Absolutely not. The extension never reads or fills in any field on the page — not payment fields, and not the promo code box either. It shows you a code, you copy it, and you paste it yourself. It has no ability to see anything you type at checkout. It does read the order total and the discount line the store shows at checkout, so it can tell you what a code saved you — those figures are worked out on your device and never reach us.
Do you track which websites I visit?
We use an "Allowlist" approach. The extension is only permitted to run on the Australian retailers we cover — stores like Chemist Warehouse, Kogan and The Good Guys. On a news site, your bank or social media it is not merely idle: the browser will not run it there at all. And because matching happens on your own device against a cached list, visiting a covered store sends us nothing until you click.
What is "Local Processing"?
Many extensions send every webpage you visit to their cloud servers to analyse. We don't. Once a day we send your browser a small list of the stores we cover — about 10 KB — and your browser checks that list itself. The codes for a particular store are only requested when you open the panel. Browse a hundred pages we don't cover and we receive nothing at all.
Can I request my data to be deleted?
We don't create accounts, so there is no profile to delete, and uninstalling the extension removes everything it kept on your device. One thing is worth naming plainly: when you vote on whether a code worked, we store that vote together with your IP address and browser type, which is what stops one person voting repeatedly to push a code up the rankings. If you would like your vote records removed, email privacy@aussiediscount.com.au.
Are you GDPR and CCPA compliant?
Yes. We adhere to the strictest global privacy standards, including GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California). Even if you live outside these regions, we extend these rights to all our users globally by default.

Policy Updates

We may update this privacy protocol periodically to reflect changes in our technology or legal obligations. Since we do not collect email addresses, we cannot email you updates. We encourage users to check this page quarterly. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page indicates the latest revision.
